Activities
Bible quizzes, polls and games for any room
Run a quiz for the youth group, a poll in a small group or a game at a family night — from your own phone, in a minute. Free for up to 12 people, and no organization needed.
Seven kinds
Every question and word comes from the Bible, so a game is never just a game.
Bible quiz
Questions from the Vercast Bible quiz library — pick the passage, the categories and up to 25 questions over a main round, a bonus round and a tie-breaker. Score on speed and accuracy, with a live leaderboard. It can run itself.
Single player or multiplayer
Poll
One question, a few choices, and the votes arrive live. Close it yourself or put it on a timer, and decide whether the room sees the results.
Ask
Questions from the room — anonymous or named — that you approve before anyone sees them. Put them on screen one at a time.
Randomizer
Everyone joins with a name and you spin to pick one. Leave picked names out of the next spin, or put everyone back.
Word puzzle
A crossword or fill-the-blanks where every clue is a Bible question. Easy, Medium or Hard, from the whole Bible or one Testament, in your language.
Single player or multiplayer
Draw & guess
Take turns sketching a Bible word while everyone else races to guess it. Quicker guesses score more.
Word scramble
Put a Bible word's shuffled letters back in order. The fastest to get them all right wins.
Single player or multiplayer
How it works
- 1
Start one
Open the Activities tab in the Vercast app, tap + and pick a kind. A few questions and it is ready.
- 2
Share the code
Everyone joins with a 6-character code, by scanning the QR code, or with Find nearby over Bluetooth. A link sends anyone without the app to their store.
- 3
Run it from your phone
Start, next, spin and close from your own console — or turn on Join the activity and play along on the same screen as everyone else.
More people? Starter.
Free activities take up to 12 people each. Starter is a monthly plan for you personally — not an organization — that lets more in. Buy it in the app on iPhone or Android, or on the web.
Questions
Do I need a church account or an organization?
No. Anyone signed in to the Vercast app can create an activity. It needs no organization and no event.
How many people can join?
Up to 12 people per activity on the free plan, not counting you. A Starter plan, which is for you personally, raises that to 50, 150, 300 or 700 people per activity.
Can I play on my own?
Yes. The Bible quiz, the word puzzle and the word scramble each have a single-player mode that opens straight away, just for you.
What languages are the questions in?
The Bible quiz library is in 12 languages, and a quiz can carry up to three of them at once — players switch between them on their own phone.
How long does an activity stay open?
Until you end it, or 24 hours after you created it. Everyone who joined can still open the results afterwards, if you let them see them.
Is it safe for a youth group?
The creator sees everyone who joins and can remove anyone, who then can't rejoin. Anyone can report an offensive drawing, name or message to the Vercast team, and Ask questions reach the screen only after the creator approves them.
Step-by-step guides for each kind are in the help centre.
