Contributing songs

Submit songs, chords, translations and transliterations for approval.

Nothing reaches the public library unreviewed. Every change is a request that a manager approves.

Adding a song

In the web console, go to Library → Add new Song. Write the words with chords in square brackets above the syllable they land on. The editor previews exactly what singers will see, and auto-saves as you work.

Credits and music details

The Credits tab records the lyricist, composer, music director and artist. The Music tab holds tempo, preferred key, mode, time signature and rhythm — and the flag that says whether the song officially carries chords.

If that flag is off, apps ignore any chords in the words and render lyrics only. If a song looks like it's missing its chords, check this first.

Translations and transliterations

A translation is a separate song, linked to the original. Link them from the editor's Translations section. A transliteration lives on the song itself and is added alongside its words.

Publishing

Approved songs go out in the next published library version. Publishing is a deliberate step — apps pick up the new version and cache it. Content updates never need an app-store release.
