Quiz questions come from the Vercast Bible quiz library, in your activity languages (Settings → Appearance & reading → Activity languages). You cannot write your own yet.
Building it
- The passage: Whole chapters, or Between verses.
- Categories and game styles: turn off any you do not want, or use Select all. The quiz spreads its questions evenly across the styles you keep.
- A main round of up to 15 questions, and a bonus round and a tie-breaker of up to 5 each.
- Scoring: Speed and accuracy, or Correct answers only. Partial credit gives part marks on choose-all, order and match questions. Shuffle answer options mixes up the choices on each phone.
- 1–3 languages, in order. The first is what screens show; players can switch to the others.
The last page shows exactly which questions were drawn. Generate again for a different set.
Your role
A new quiz has you Join the activity: you play along on the same screen as everyone, and your controls float in a bar at the bottom once you have typed your name and joined. Choose Quizmaster to run it from the console instead.
Autorun
Autorun the quiz moves it on by itself, from each question to its answer to the next. Show the correct answer after each question decides whether the answer is shown in between.
At the end of the main round it waits for you. Start the Bonus round, start the Tie-breaker — offered only when players in the top 12 are tied — or go to the Final results. A round you start runs itself to the end, and then you choose again.
The leaderboard
Show leaderboard to participants lets players see the standings at the end; Results after each question shows them between questions too. With it off, the quiz ends with “The quiz has ended” — unless you press Final results, which shows them anyway.
Players appear under the name they typed when joining, up to 12 characters, and boards show the top 12. The results page after the quiz lists everyone. Only you, the creator, see each player's username under their name.
